TAG Motorsports Showcases Marketing Shift from Shrinking Big Truck Aftermarket Business to Target Owners of Fuel Efficient Cars, Trucks and Crossovers
Escondido, CA (PRWEB) July 1, 2008 -- TAG Motorsports is celebrating a new beginning with a July month-long Grand Opening event that features a dynamic shift in marketing strategy. Recognized as San Diego's premier customizer of large trucks and SUV's, TAG Motorsports is following the change in culture away from large vehicles with limited MPG and toward smaller fuel efficient vehicles. Although the big truck segment will remain important, TAG's goal is to become the regions preeminent "restyler" for owners of economy cars, small trucks, and crossovers.
Under new ownership, TAG Motorsports joins the ranks of Evans Tire and Service Centers just as the aftermarket industry enters a time of transition. Company president, John Andonian, says the emerging business climate couldn't be better. "The TAG acquisition adds a new blend of products and services that give our organization a whole new tier to build on. Given the fact that the large vehicle aftermarket business is shrinking, we will apply TAG's foundation of restyling expertise where the opportunity for growth is now presenting itself; with owners of economy cars, trucks, and crossovers."
TAG motorsports general manager, Bear Scharbarth, welcomes the new direction. "Our goal with every customer is to take their average vehicle and make it extraordinary," he explains. "Owners of fuel efficient cars and trucks want the same thing as those with larger vehicles, a look and feel all their own."
Scharbarth says the resources provided by Evans Tire will improve their already superior line-up of top brand custom wheels and premium tires and help identify model specific ground effects and tuned suspension for their small car clientele.
